Biostar is the next manufacturer to jump on the wireless trend. ASUS was first to use separate units to change settings and controlling motherboards, but with BIO-Remote2, Biostar has released its own version for Google Android and it uses WiFi.
BIO-Remote2 is installed as an Android application and can be used for overclocking computers with Biostar motherboards, but also take control over functions like Windows Media Player, WinAmp, PowerPoint or as a trackpad. The mobile phone can thus be used as a form of wireless remote and the application is available today for Android but will also appear for Apple iPhone soon.
More information and download link can be found at Biostar’s website.
We hope to see more of this functionality with the next generation motherboard and previously mentioned ASUS is one of the companies that is expected to expand its use for controlling computers from others devices.
