Biostar is a brand that has been coming more and more and has been able to make name through, among others, innovative solutions on the SFF market. They also have, like many other manufacturers, an assortment of graphics cards and this is where it has expanded with its new Sigma Gate V7603GS21, which also introduces the new application V-Ranger. The card is based on NVIDIA’s 7600GS circuit, which perhaps isn’t the hottest one around, but then V-Ranger is far more interesting. It’s namely a program which makes it possible to change the voltage for both core and memory completely dynamically.
“V-Ranger stands for Voltage Ranger, which is the first VGA based dynamic voltage regulation in the world. V-Ranger makes the concept of “power-on-demand” a reality. A powerful tool that can dynamically control the voltage of GPU and memory to achieve either the best overclocking results of the GPU or the lowest power consumption and temperature value of the card.”
A nice tool which we hope spreads to Biostar’s more powerful graphics cards.
