Blu-ray is something very few have heard of. Partly because the technology is rather new and partly because of it is not available everywhere. Digit-life.com has a review of a blu-ray writer called Sony BDZ-S77, the first one for everyday consumers.
A blu-ray disc can store up to 23GB of data, which is 18,3GB more than some rewritable DVD discs. And the BDZ-S77 can, besides reading/writing blu-ray discs also read DVD-Video, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD, CD-R and CD-RW.
This sound very good, does it not? Well, it costs. To be able to buy a Sony BDZ-S77 you must have about $3800 to spend in the wallet, a quite juicy price label.
