Danger Den looks to be one of the first third-party cooler manufacturers to launch a cooler for the R600, and it becomes clearer for each passing moment that the one thing the AMD flagship graphics card needs is cooling. Danger Den has as usual designed a special block for AMD’s new card where they did not stop at the core cooling, but also chose to provide some cooling for the memory chips, voltage regulators and all other heat dissipating components. Danger Den hasn’t released any official information just yet, but TechPowerUp! has got hold of two pictures of a R600 card equipped with a Danger Den waterblock.

There are no official prices announced yet, but expect the price tag to be pretty stiff. Whether the Radeon HD 2900XT is worth a $100+ third-party cooler is a hard question to answer, but we guarantee that the card will make good use of the additional cooling which is clearly proven in our Radeon HD 2900XT overclocking article.
