DVD writers in every flavor

0

Xbit labs compared DVD writers from Mitsumi, NEC, Pioneer (4 types), Ricoh, Sony and Teac. The only two missing are Plextor and Iomega, but don’t mind, it’s a nice article.

DVD writers are getting more popular nowadays, with prices going below 200$. It is also nice to see more manufacturers offering wider media support; currently Sony, Plextor, Teac support both the DVD+R(W) and DVD-R(W) format. As you remember, Sony was the first to create a drive supporting both formats. And apparently they’re still doing well:

“Despite its pretty high price, we would recommend the SONY DW-U12A DVD-burner. It boasts very high performance and can be considered a true universal solution for all needs.”

Nothing more to say about that I guess… (unless you want to read the article here.)
