PCI Express 2.0 will offer both more bandwidth and power for graphics cards and other PCIe expansion cards. It’s not a question if PCIe 2.0 is better than the current PCIe specification but when it will replace the older 1.0/1.1 specification. Previous rumors about Intel’s high-end chipset X38 has said that it would be the first to have PCIe 2.0 support, but now it seems that the already launched P35 also has PCIe 2.0 support. In other words, you don’t have to wait until September and X38 to make use of the new PCIe standard, it’s just up to the graphics card manufacturers to make use of it.
