Mainboardroundup with a large M

0

A massive mainboardroundup, based on the latest chipsets from Intel, Intel 875P and 865PE, has been published on Tomshardware.com. They have collected nothing less then 24 different mainboards from 14 different manufacturers and they’ve investigated if any board separates itself from the mass. A clear fact is that it seems like the choice of chipset is of no bigger matter for the performance as things stand today. Many of the mainboard manufacturers has succeeded in enabling PAT-similiar optimizations in their Springdale-chipsets and the performance is now equivalent with the one on the Canterwood-chipset. We also see that the mainboard manufacturers mostly commits on providing more accessories and features which we also saw clearly in our Canterwood-roundup.
