We’ve previously reported about how Microsoft was planning to launch the next version of Windows in 2009 already. We were a bit skeptic since this came as a bit of a surprise and now it seems that this was mainly speculations. Microsoft has tried to tone down when the next version of Windows will arrive and we may very well have to wait 2-2½ years after that Microsoft is satisfied with the current Windows before we will see the next Windows. Exactly how many service packs this means remains to be seen, but right now we shouldn’t sit around waiting for a new Windows in 2009.
