The browser war has been phasing over from the PC to the mobile market and beside Google and Microsoft that has its own mobile operating systems with bundled browsers there are several others trying to get a foot in, including Mozilla with its mobile version of Firefox 4. The company has released a new beta version, the fifth of its kind, with better performance and stability.
Firefox 4 Beta 5 for Android and Maemo will be faster to start than previous versions and offer faster load times. Also JavaScript has been boosted while memory and CPU usage has been improved. Profile data can be stored on the SD card to save space.
Other classic functions include Sync that allows users to synchronize the browsing on the PC and the mobile unit, or for that matter installing addons for more functions.
