The war in Libanon has had some terrible consequences for the people and the great nations are discussing what to do about Israel’s attacks. One of these nations are as usual USA and that the world’s strongest nation often gets to carry the blame is nothing new, whether it is right or wrong we will leave to another discussion. Now the consequences of the war has spread to the cyber world. Several commercial websites from the USA and Israel have been hacked the last week and now a Chilean hacker and activist group has claimed two great trophies. It has namely hacked into American NASA and sunk two of their websites. Instead for the regular message it had posted a picture of a wounded child from Libanon in protest of the war.
“Today two NASA websites were attacked as well. The intrusion was carried out by the Chilean group of crackers known as Byond Hackers Crew through a leak in the SQL Injection they entered the system and subtracted user names, passwords and e-mails from the NASA web server.
After that these information had been stolen, they managed in entering the administrative area by using an administrator user ID and password , and finally they made the defacement replacing the homepage with their message…”
What goes on in Libanon is really tragic, but if this is the right way to act we’re not entirely sure. At Zone-h there is more information about the hacker attack and other attacks in conjunction with the war in Libanon.
