Obviously, Swiftec didn’t consider the launch of a new CPU heatsink and a northbridge heatsink was enough. A new version of the water block was also apparently needed, and after a bit of constructing a new version of the old classic MXW5000 was released, which is compatible with the Athlon 64. That Swiftec has a northbridge block is something we look very positively at, since it has been the only thing missing. The only drawback with it is that it can’t be used with a peltier element. Even though it’s very extreme to pelt the northbridge there are people who like it, and these people should not be discriminated by Swiftec. Hopefully, Swiftec will make a new version with a pelt possibility, or an expansion kit, but that seems rather unlikely. |
