In previous articles at NordicHardware, we’ve mentioned that nVidia has had complications with its latest series of graphics cards. Two certain problems has haunted the cards.
First off, there’s a problem with flickering 3D graphics (which accordingly have nothing to do with low monitor refresh rate, to be explicit). The second problem regards the cards’ voltage regulators gives away peculiar hissing noises when scrolling through certain applications.
nVidia has today released a fix to remedy the former problem. In addition, Warp2Search has located a lot of mirrors to the updated driver version Detonator 45.33, which can be found here.
Anton N has tested more than six GeForce FX cards hitherto, which all have been suffering from both these problems, thus it’ll be great to finally be able to play games with a 5900 Ultra again without the monitor flickering at full speed, to say the least.
What action nVidia will take against the hissing voltage regulators is yet to be seen.
