Today’s test suite is a bit short since some games refused to work (for example our old favorite ARMA2), but a good mix of DirectX 10 and 11 games were at our disposal, throw an eye on Dirt 2 and Just Cause 2, since these two use high levels of tessellation, and have been designed together with AMD and NVIDIA respectively. For temperature tests we used the Furmark derivative MSI Kombustor, mainly because it is built into later versions of MSI Afterburner, that is a very competent overclocking tool. We should say that we couldn’t get the overclocking to work with Afterburner, but had to use EVGA Precision. Next page has more information on that.
