OCZ ProXStream 1000W has now been launched by OCZ. The reason for the launch of the new kilowatt power supply is simply the increasing requirements of today’s power-consuming graphics cards and with this power supply you will be able to run up to four graphics cards in the same system according to OCZ. The power supply therefore comes with four PCI-E connectors. OCZ has also chosen to split the 12V rail into four individual rails at 20A each, while it has still managed to fit 1000W into a regular ATX format, which makes it fit inside all cases of a standard format. It has also chosen to make the power supply backwards compatible with older motherboard by using a 20+4 ATX connector.
