3DMark06 have been around a couple of years now, but still commonly used for benchmarking and here we see how 5870 makes the process swift and pain-free for the other single-GPU cards. Radeon HD 4870X2 with its two graphics circuits still claim the crown but 5870 squeeze in before NVIDIA’s dual-GPU card GeForce GTX295. AMD’s two 4800 series single-GPU cards and GTX285 are kept at a safe distance.

In 3DMark Vantage the graphics cards are stressed a lot harder and even if 4870X2 keeps up well and GTX295 takes home the victory 5870 is outstanding among the single-GPU cards. We hardly dares to think of what overclockers can accomplish with these cards in CrossFire.
