“High octane battles chasing terrorists.”

According to AMD’s own press material Radeon HD 5870 will be strong in the arcade inspired flight simulator HAWX, but in our benchmarks with the official benchmark demo the results are the opposite. AMD is not doing well here, which we can confirm with other sources. The internal fight 5870 handles with honor, as it not only beats Radeon HD 4870/4890 but also slaps 4870X2 on the fingers with the smallest possible margin. Hands down, they are no match for the NVIDIA graphics cards.

“The sequel to the perhaps best looking game in the world.”

As custom applies, Crysis is one of the most demanding games around and the sequel Warhead is just as sweaty. The game has great support for both SLI and CrossFire making Radeon HD 4870X2 and especially GeForce GTX 295 way too fast for the rest of the crowd. Now that Radeon HD 5870 is around and it is very close to snatching the crown from GTX295 at the highest settings.
