It has been quite a while since we last had a look at something regarding watercooling. Today, however, we have the pleasure to present a roundup consisting of six different waterblocks; Maze 1, Maze 2 and Maze 3 from DangerDen, MCW5000-A from Swiftech and Cuplex and Cuplex Evo from the relatively unknown AquaComputer manufacturer. The vast majority of the blocks is interesting and up to date, albeit the other blocks being there for comparison and provides us with a picture of how watercooling has evolved in the past years. A whopping nine pages of watercooling is to be read, and of course, this includes a benchmark as well.
“The earlier Maze blocks are nothing I would recommend anyone to buy, but this test gives you a hint of whether it’s time to upgrade. If you’re the owner of a Maze2, you will not experience any gigantic performance gain, however the difference is present. If you have the slightly older Maze1, I would certainly recommend an upgrade since that block is approximately 10 degrees celsius hotter than the modern variant.”
