ModAsylum.com brings a guide on remote controlling your pc; they discuss different remotes available, different receivers, the programs that you could use, how to make your own receiver and how to configure Girder. It’s a nice read. Especially for those who have an old remote lying somewhere…

Hexus.net brings us a review of Shuttles newest SFF: the SB61G2 XPC. Based on Intel’s i865G, it brings Dual channel DDR to Shuttle’s Intel platform.
“The SB61G2 is Shuttle’s vision of a truly high-performance small-form-factor PC. By borrowing heavily from the new Springdale chipset, the SB61G2 is able to amalgamate some of the more desirable features into the cute little package. The most notable of these, in our opinion, is the inclusion of direct S-ATA support stemming from the ICH5 SouthBridge. The lack of space in the SB61G2 is almost perfect for the thin, slinky S-ATA cables. ”

Less positive news about NVIDIA comes from Futuremark, makers of 3dMark 2003. NVIDIA cheated by optimalising their driver for this benchmarks suite. The latest patch makes this impossibile. You can read more about this here.
Something else I cannot refuse to show you is this; apparently somebody thought Lian-Li’s fishes were not vivid enough… So he made an ant nest in his case. See it yourself here. (Suggestion: Who’s going to house reptiles on his/her Geforce FX 5800 ULTRA? Those animals like hot rocks to rest on 😀 )
