Sony PSP has recently received a new firmware and this time its version 2.50 that has been released, which both fixes some bugs and adds some new functions. LocationFree Player is one of these and it makes it possible to view television and videos with your PSP through WiFi, but this will not work in all countries and areas. Other than that PSP will also be able to play copyrighted material and it has closed up the security hole “PSPbrick”. More details about the new firmware can be found at Playstation.com. So far the update only seems to be available for PSPs sold in the US, but we should most likely expect a European update soon.
