Via technologies announced a new chipset for the AMD platform. This new chipset supports 400 DDR memory support, serial ATA/RAID, Parallel ATA-133, USB 2.0 and 6-channel audio. It also has integrated graphics, based on S3’ unichrome design.
This new chipset is meant to be a (cheap) solution for system integrators and OEM’s. We can only wait for benchmarks… Will it be able to outperform NVIDIA’s nForce2 solution?
