Dell XPS 600 Renegade is one of the most ridiculously extreme gaming machines that will be launched with NVIDIA’s new Quad SLI technology, where they use four GeForce 7900 based circuits in the same system. We handed you a preview of Quad SLI in our GeForce 7900 GTX article and even if Quad SLI is a bit over the top to many Dell’s new super gaming computer is in a completely new league. Dell XPS 600 Renegade costs outrageous $9930, about as much as a small car. And to say you get a lot of value is out of the question as well, but the hardware used here is really out of the ordinary. Except for the graphics system with four GeForce 7900 circuits they’ve chosen to use Intel’s new dual-core processor, Pentium 965 Extreme Edition overclocked from the stock speed at 3.73GHz to 4.26GHz.

To top if off they’ve used two 150GB Raptor harddrives in RAID-0 and an extra 400GB harddrive for storage. 2GB DDR2-667 memory and a SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card.

To make the package complete they’ve added Dell’s new monster monitor, Dell 3007WFP, at 30″ and has a resolution at 2560x1600px to really be able to use all of the power.

Last but not least we have AGEIA’s new physics processor PhysX that will take the load of the four (!) graphics circuits at heavy physics processing with games supporting this technology. We reported yesterday about how Alienware will sell systems with PhysX cards as an option and when we speak of Alienware we can’t help to remember the rumor about Dell purchasing the company. Alas, it was no less than a rumor and even if Dell has hardly created a unique computer series in the same way as Alienware, it has now revealed a real monster computerr.

This really push the limit for what a “regular” PC can cost, if there is a limit I.e. For those who wants to take a closer look at Dell XPS 600 Renegade, or God forbid, buy a system you can venture over to Dell’s homepage.
