At Anandtech they’ve continued its series of articles on dual-core processors. Both AMD and Intel has presented and launched processors with dual cores and its two differnet arcitectures they’ve taken a closer look at in their third art of its series. We’ve heard about AMD’s K8-arcitecture is suppose to be much more efficient than Intel’s NetBurst when it comes to implmenting multiple cores on the same processor. This is stated pretty clearly in this article but also look to the future for the processors with 4 and more cores in one processor. Even SMT (Simultaneous Multi Threading) is explained in detail, why it is not as efficient with the NetBurstarcitecture (HyperThreading) and that it after all has big potential.
