The 7800-series is available as two different versions at the moment, 7800GT and the faster 7800GTX. Even if GT is cheaper than GTX it can hardly be counted as a cheap card. Therefor it comes as no surprise that nVidia is planning on introducing a standard 7800-card. The card will be equipped with 16 pixel pipelines and 6 vertex shaders. The frequencies will be GPU at 375MHz and memory at 1.0GHz. When this card will be launched it will replace 6800 GT and 6800 Ultra, but nVidia is waiting for ATi’s launch of R520 before it will decide what to do with its new7800-card.
