Last year Samsung revealed the world’s largest plasma TV, measuring 102″, and this year they chose to return with it. With them they also had an 82″ LCD TV to reveal to the public. This was of course equipped with full HD support at 1080p, 8ms, a contrast ratio at 7000:1 and of course HDMI to work with coming generations of DVD players. it doesn’t end there though, they also brought an 80″ LCD which was ready to go commercial. This was tuesday this week, but already the next day Panasonic revealed a 103″ plasma TV to atract people to tell them about their cooperation with Comcast regarding digital movies. Panasonic’s plasma is just like Samsung’s versino more or less a work in progress, but what was really interesting was that Samsung’s 80″ LCD was an object ready to become commercially. The price will most likely be high, very high and if we’re lucky we will maybe see it outside of Japan. :: Read on about Samsung’s plasma and LCD TVs
