Core 2 Extreme QX6700 is hardly a new fellowship to our faithful readers as we’ve been reporting about Intel’s new processor flagship for months, a processor also known by the code-name; Kentsfield. Many have been waiting for that Intel would launch its first quad-core architecture and now that the time has come it’s actually earlier than anticipated. Intel has, contrary to many other manufacturers, been able to speed up the launch. This means that consumers will be able to get a hold of information about the new processor sooner, while at the same time it has created a tight schedule for us in the media. We’re working on completing our first article about Core 2 Extreme QX6700 with follow ups, but already today we can present a review of Intel’s new flagship for those who wants to know more about the processor’s architecture and its performance.
