Kingston has now launched two new memory modules in its HyperX series and they are nothing but impressive. The new modules are namely tested for working at 1200MHz and 1150MHz. Kingston HyperX KHX9600D2/XX and HyperX KHX9200D2/XX are the names of the new modules and except from the extreme frequencies the memories are specified to 5-5-5-15 latencies. Not what one would call aggressive memory settings but nothing else is expected at these speeds. Kingston is therefore the first company with a DDR2-1200 module on the market as we’re still waiting for Buffalo’s coming 1.2GHz FireStix modules.

Kingston’s new HyperX modules are available at 512MB and 1GB capacity, but are of course also sold as 2GB kits. A 2GB Kingston HyperX KHX9600D2/XX kit will cost 525 USD.
