Even if NVIDIA hasn’t lost that much from its late transition to the 40nm node, since TSMC still can’t produce enough volume, there are many who are waiting for the more cool 40nm chips. NVIDIA has started shipping its first 40nm graphics desktop chips to OEMs, cards called GeForce G210 and GeForce GT220. Both are entry level and not officially launched yet, but there is information at its website and they are now in the hands of several PC builders.
Fittingly for the entry level both cards are low-profile and comes with simple coolers, although both have fans. They cost less than $50 the specifications are anything but overwhelming but as expected they are better than the entry level of today.
