The development of LCD and other flat screen technologies is something we follow eagerly here at NH and it always a pleasure to report about when manufacturers try to overcome eachother with new models that is suppose to overshine the others. The latest to launch a new set of LCD TVs is the Taiwanese company Proton Electronic Intustrial which during CES will display five new LCD TVs, all with HD support. Th high end model weighs in at a whopping 55″ and supports 1080p and 1080i. the two smaller versions at 47″ and 42″ has the same support as the bigger brother, while the two minors, 37″ and 32″, “only” support 480i-1080i. The price is of course high as the smallest one will cost $2,799 when it arrives during the second quarter.
