Socket M2 is as you know AMD’s future processor platform and sometime during the second quarter AMD is expected to launch the follower to today’s Socket 939. Socket M2 is expected to bring several news, where the perhaps biggest one is support for DDR2-memory. It is going ot be a while until we actually get to see AMD’s new platform with our own eyes, but now it seems the first test systems are working in AMD’s lab. HardOCP has namely published pictures of not only the processorn and its 940 pins but also a picture of the system booting up and locate the memory that is DDR2-667.
