The tip of the day is good for those who wants to keep track of all the programs and updates you install.
In Service Pack 2 for Windows XP some extra options appeared under “Add/Remove programs” in the Control panel. In “Add/Remove program” there is a small checkbox that says “Show updates”. Check this box if you want to see what programs has been updated, with what and when.
Convenient for those who wants some control over their programs, however this only works for programs whcih supports the feature, e.g. MSN Messenger, Windows Media Player etc.
