AMD is about to, according to information, about to cut their prices of large portions of its assortment. According to DVHardware both the Athlon 64 and Athlon 64 X2-series’ prices will be cut while the flagship Athlon 64 FX will still be extremely expensive. In AMD’s mobile processor series it’s Sempron 3000+ and higher models in the same series that is affected by the price cuts. Also Turion 64 ML28 and MT28 will get a lower price. These cuts will become official tomorrow, October 24th, but unfortunately there are no details no how big these cuts will be. We can only hope that this information is correct and that especially Athlon 64 X2 will become a more affordable option for more consumers.
