Yesterday ATI held a meeting with the stockholder where they would vote about AMD’s acquisition of ATI. ATI has now made a press release where it tells that the stockholders approved of the deal, without practically no opposing votes. 99% voted in favor of the deal that will make ATI a subsidiary of AMD. ATI still has some things that needs to be approved of by the court on October 17 and on the 23, about a week later, everything is expected to be set for the merge. However, things are not final yet, but we can’t help feeling that all of the big obstacles have been cleared now.
