Samsung has launched two new LCD monitor series, 50 and 30. Samsung 50 and 30 are part of the Touch of Color family and all use LED backlighting for low power consumption and thin profile.
Samsung boasts that the new BX2350 and BX2335 monitors are Energy Star 5.0 certified, and thus green and environmental. Even if the exact measurements aren’t mentioned in the press release it does say that the monitors are extra thin thanks to the Touch of Color concept, crowned by a chromed foot with the 50 series.
Samsung’s Magic Eco feature allows users to adjust a monitor’s brightness based on different energy consumption levels with four preset energy-saving options to choose from: 100 percent, 75 percent, 50 percent, and Power-Saving Off.
The specifications speak of a 16:9 ratio and Full HD resolution with 2 ms response time. Through LED technology the monitor are capable of what Samsung calls Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio, something we interpret as very high contrast ratio.
