Not surprisingly notebooks with touch screens are plenty at Computex 2012 and Acer not only showed new tablets with Windows 8, but also showed Acer Aspire S7. It is the third generation series ultrabook with a stylish seemless design, Full HD touch screen and Windows 8.

Acer Aspire S7 will ship in two sizes with either 11.6″ or 13.3″ screens, which can turn 180 degrees to make it lie flat on the table. What makes it the most interesting is that Aspire S7 sports a Full HD screen with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution. It doesn’t say what kind of panel is used, but we find it likely they are the sought after IPS panels that are starting near TN in price. Bother computers sport touch technology and are ready for Windows 8.

Both are built from aluminum with unibody chassis and only 12.5 mm profiles. To remove heat Acer has introduced Twin Air, which most likely means there are two small fans inside to transfer heat out of the case. The larger version also has a glass top, like HP Envy 14 Spectre.

Acer has not revealed the specifications, but we know that they will launch with Windows 8 and most likely an Intel processor. The battery time will be nine hours for the 11.6″ model, while the larger 13.3″ model will stay up for twelve hours. It is still too early to say what the price will be, but there should be other similar models available when Windows 8 launches.
