G80 is expected to become one of the first DirectX 10-capable graphics card on the high-end market and NVIDIA’s coming flagship has been stiring up quite a few rumors lately. Now, new and highly unofficial information has stated that G80 is slightly delayed and is instead of September/October heading for a launch in November. According to The Inquirer, NVIDIA is getting ready to send out the first samples to the media at the start of November while consumers will get to take part at the end of the same month. What worries us though is that NVIDIA’s partners has revealed that G80 may very well be shipped with an external power supply.

G80 will consume loads of power and be really hot, which match the rumors going around at Computex earlier this year. Even if G80 might require an external power supply the card is still not as power hungry and hot as ATI’s R600 circuit, which says a lot about both of them.
