Logitech has announced a new upscale keyboard and mouse combination, which it calls Logitech® diNovo™ Media Desktop. While this new product has similarities with the soon-to-be-released Cordless Desktop MX for Bluetooth, the keyboard itself is an entirely new design, focused on style and media.
In conformity with the Desktop MX for Bluetooth, the set utilizes the Bluetooth radio technology for communication between the transceiver, mouse, keyboard and media pad – of which the latter we will cover in detail further down.

As is shown above, the keyboard is split into two parts. The right device acts like a standard numerical pad, which is to be found to any ordinary keyboard. In addition, it has an LCD for displaying various information about the computer, and can also be used as a regular calculator, albeit an expectedly expensive one. It is considered by Logitech to be a Bluetooth remote control and is mainly focused on multimedia features.

It’s a desktop, and as such, the newly released MX900 Bluetooth mouse is enclosed with the package, accommodating great precision and gaming experiences. Also, the now-familiar rapid charge station is included, now obviously Bluetooth compatible.

Take a look at this page for more information about the diNovo Media Desktop.

What you get is shortly an advanced keyboard and mouse combination, which doubles as the most stylish desktop solution we’ve seen. We don’t, however, know if this should be considered as good news, as the Desktop MX for Bluetooth is just about to become available. Naturally, a purchaser of a such advanced desktop is likely to wait for the diNovo Media Desktop instead.

However, all this comes at a price of approximately $250 USD – a price that’s estimatedly even higher in Europe and that most people isn’t willing to cough up for a keyboard and mouse. Count me out though, cause this is a product that will end up on my desk in a not-so-distant future.
