Extreme PC is the biggest PC builder in Canada and it has, as the first store in the world, added AMD’s 1GB model of Radeon HD 2900 XT to its assortment. According to Extreme PC this is a limited edition which not only sports twice as much memory as the original Radeon HD 2900XT but also has its frequencies tuned. The GPU is clocked at 825MHz and the graphics memory is working at 2100MHz, which results in a fantastic memory bandwidth a t 146GB/s through the card’s 512-bit bus. The card is in no way limited to being used by Extreme PC prebuilt systems, but can be purchased separately and will then cost $649 Canadian dollar.

We have no idea how Extreme PC came to be the first with selling Radeon HD 2900XT 1GB but it’s hard to deny the presence of the Radeon HD 2900 XT 1GB. More information on Extrem PC’s Radeon HD 2900XT 1GB can be found at the Extreme PC website.

”Looking at the Extreme PC HD2900XT 1GB DDR4 GPU, you can clearly see where we took our design cues from. Since our core and memory speeds are a lot higher then the stock ATI card we put the Supra’s TAC image right onto the cooler to indicate this is a HIGH PERFORMANCE part. The tachometer image is actually pointing to the possible MHZ speeds of the GPU core – how convenient.”
