G.Skill is a relatively unknown memory manufacturer here in Europe, but has actually been around since 1989 and is just as OCZ, Corsair, GeIL etc. focusing on the enthusiast market. We’ve received some clear indications for that G.Skill will be seen a lot more here in the north very soon and it is going to be interesting to see its new memory modules in action. It has namely launched new DDR2-SDRAM modules with some very attractive specifications. The new modules are working at 667MHz and 800MHz to be paired with AMD or Intel’s DDR2-platforms in the best possible manner. The most interesting bit is the modules’ latentices which are marginally more aggressive than even Corsair’s TWIN2X2048-6400C3 modules.

Whether you buy G.Skill’s DDR2-677 or DDR2-800 modules you get latencies specified at 3-4-3-8, which tends for some really nice performance. The modules have a 1GB capacity and is sold both separately and as dual-channel kits. G.Skill seems to be donig well and wants to expand, which we are of course very happy for. Keep your eyes open for its two new memory kits, F2-6400CL3D-2GBGA and F2-5400CL3D-2GBGA.
