GF104 will be NVIDIA’s second incarnation of Fermi where the GF100 GPU has been used with the first models of the GeForce GTX 400 families. Now that the first picture of the graphics circuit has surface we can conclude its rectangular, fairly uncommon for a GPU.

Previous rumors have stated that GF104 would sport 256 CUDA processors and 256-bit memory bus, but later information have instead mentioned two models with 336 CUDA processors and 192-bit memory bus, and 384 CUDA processors with 256-bit memory bus.

The picture published at Expreview shows a rectangular GPU marked GF104 and Sample. The size of the chip will be around 60% of big brother GF100.

GF104

If the information is correct we will see two GF104 graphics cards on July 12 and as we have reported in the past overclocking is expected to be a delight. At the same time performance is expected to be near GeForce GTX 465, with the cards named GeForce GTX 460 768MB and GTX 460 1024MB.

GeForce GTX 460 is expected to get the following specifications: 675/1350/1800MHz (GPU/CUDA/Memory) and is set for 150 watt power consumption.
