Intel goes nuts in July

There have been plenty of reports stating that Intel will launch several new processors in July, all using the new and improved 1333MHz bus, and they are basically all true. There will be at least three new E-models; Core 2 Duo E6550, E6750 and E6850, but there will also be a new Extreme Edition that most likely will arrive even sooner than the rest; Core 2 Extreme QX6850. We’re hearing possibly as early as the 12th, or even sooner for the new Extreme model, while the other three are slated to arrive on the 22nd, but may also be pushed to a sooner date.

Not surprisingly, Intel will start phasing out all of the 1066MHz FSB models later this year to make room for the new 1333MHz models.
