Intel is said to have completed the development of the next generation microarchitecture Ivy Bridge. The processors that are made at the 22 node may now be shown at Computex 2011 in Taiwan in June already. This hardly comes as a surprise since Intel made a similar presentation of Sandy Bridge in 2010.

The information comes from Chinese business paper Commercial Times and it doesn’t say what  Intel will focus on in its demonstrations, but as usual it will most likely be about showing partners and consumers that the work is going as planned.

Ivy Bridge will build on the same base architecture as today’s Sandy Bridge processors and according to the latest rumors Intel’s current LGA1155 motherboards with Intel P67 and H67 chipsets will support the new processor family through a simple BIOS update.

Ivy Bridge will beside a more efficient manufacturing technology also bring a more powerful graphics processor that support DirectX 11 and more execution units.
