The new 1333MHz bus processor series from Intel will not only bring a faster bus, but also a new and improved stepping, G0. This stepping will lower the power consumption during Extended HALT (C1E) and raise the maximal temperature. Matbe now reports that this will also apply to the new Pentium E processors coming at the end of July. In this case the maximal temperature will rise from 61.4°C to 73.2°C and the C1E power consumption will be lowered to 8W, from 12W. This stepping is not called G0 though, but M0. Chances are they are pretty mich one and the same though, but for very different models. They will most likely require a minor BIOS update to be identified correctly, but in the end it should result in more room for overclocking.

Update: M0 is Allendale and G0 is Conroe. They are not related.
