Optimus Maximus is finally available for pre-ordering at design studio Art Lebedev, the company behind the concept keyboard. Optimus Maximus is a bit different from regular keyboard, but the one thing that has caught the eye of the PC community is the keys; these all house a small OLED display each, which makes it possible to design your keys any way you like. As we’ve told you before, Optimus Maximus will cost you a mere $1,564 USD. An incomprehensible large sum for a keyboard and those who order one now will have to wait up to six months before you’re actually typing on a keyboard of your own. The keyboard is estimated to arrive on December 20, 2007.

More information on Art Lebedev’s rather cool and just as expensive keyboard Optimus Maximus can be found at the official website.
