Sony announced earlier this week that it had won The Technology and Engineering Emmy Award for its Playstation 3 sixaxis controller (press release removed). It had thus beaten Nintendo and Wii to it, or not. It has namely turned out that Sony did in fact win an award, but for the Dual Shock controller and then got to share the price with Nintendo and its D-pad (directional pad). Sony contacted the media and apologized for the mistake. In the end, it was D-pad and Dual Shock which got the award and I don’t think anyone is very upset over that, even if some still believe Wii should’ve won.
