Sapphire is one of AMD’s closest partners and it has used this to build a Radeon HD 5970 card with 4GB GDDR5 memory. SAPPHIRE HD 5970 4G TOXIC Edition sports two Cypress graphics circuits clocked at 900MHz, which together with 4GB memory buffer clocked at 4800MHz should provide performance to go around.

This special model of AMD’s dual-GPU first became famous with ASUS ARES but also Sapphire and XFX showed unique cards. We have already covered ASUS ARES and XFX Radeon HD 5970 4GB EF6 Black Edition Limited, but it looks like Sapphire is the first to market.

The company has revealed that the card is in production and is ready for launch. The card may not be as extravagant as the competing cards, but it offers good specifications and the cooler from Arctic Cooling should leave room for more.

SAPPHIRE HD 5970 4G TOXIC Edition supports Eyefinity with three monitors and the price will be around $1000.
