Free Movies in Wentzville, Missouri: Spring and Summer 2022
Leave your pocketbooks at home because this Spring and Summer, you can go see four classic movies in the park for free! Wentzville, MO is holding this fantastic event on four different nights. Rotary Park will be the host of these outside movie events, in which the movies will be shown on a giant screen outside in the park. Rotary Park is located at 2577 W. Meyer Rd in Wentzville, MO. May 15th will show the movie classic, ET. ET is the 1982 movie in which three children, including "Gertie" played by Drew Barrymore, help E.T., an alien left on Earth, to get back to his family. The movie is scheduled to start at 8:00 pm.
June 13th will hold the movie, The Wizard of Oz. The Wizard of Oz is the 1939 movie in which young Dorothy is taken away in a tornado to the Land of Oz. While there, she meets an evil and good witch, a tin man, a scarecrow and a lion, which help her in the quest to find her way back home. This movie is scheduled to start at 8:30 pm.
September 11th will show, Eight Below. This 2006 movie takes us on a journey of finding sled dogs over the course of a winter in the Antarctic. The dogs had to be abandoned prior to a snow storm, and the guide which left them, goes back to find them. This is scheduled to start at 8:00 pm.
October 9th will show, Field of Dreams. This 1989 movie shows the determination and belief that a man has when he hears a voice telling him to build a baseball field in his cornfield. He doesn't understand what the meaning is, but he builds it and ends up getting closer to his deceased dad because of it. This movie starts at 7:30 pm.
Concessions are available should you incur hunger during the movies. Movie times are estimates as it is dependent on the sun going down. Should rain occur, the movies will be held indoors at the Progress Park gymnasium. Space is limited in the event of rain.
