NVIDIA has today announced that it has launched a new mobile graphics circuit GeForce Go 7700. The new graphics circuit will be used by among others ASUS for its brand new A8J series which also use Intel’s Merom (Core 2 Duo) processors. NVIDIA claims that the new graphics circuit will deliver 50% more pixel bandwidth than GeForce Go 7600 which was used by ASUS previous A8 models. GeForce Go 7700 comes with 12 pixel pipelines while Go 7600 has only 8 pixel pipelines.
GeForce Go 7700 is the first mobile graphics circuit made with 80nm technolgy and clearly show that NVIDIA is on the right path towards switching manufacturing process. Other features of the graphics circuit are close to NVIDIA’s stationary version of the GeForce 7xxx series. ASUS A8Js has some really nice specifications.
