There are those who just have too much money and too crazy ideas for their own good, one of those seems to be a man known as Crazy Jon. Together with some of the fellows from QJ.net he has has built a wall of monitors consisting out of no less than twelve (!) 30″ Dell 3007WFP monitors. An incredibly expensive and, according to many, unnecessary project that required no less than six GeForce 7900 GTX video cards, three 1000W Turbo-Cool PSUs and 48 fans. The result was a wall with four rows of monitor with three monitors in each row. Exactly what Crazy Jon is suppose to do with this setup is a bit unclear, but apparently some sporadic tests with Matrix screen savers and similar felt like the right thing to do.
The cost for this setup is not something we want to calculate, but considering that the guy has five 30″ Apple monitors at his desk we assume money isn’t a problem. Most of us dream of one 30″ LCD monitor, he has 17 in the same room.
