Intel is doing some Summer cleaning before the Sandy Bridge microarchitecture. The processor manufacturer has listed three more processors to be removed from the market, including Core i7 975.

Intel’s quad-core flagship of the LGA 1366 platform has been given an End Of Life date; February 18th, 2011 is the last day to put down orders. With 3.33 GHz clock frequency this Extreme Edition CPU has been a popular target for extreme overclockers and which processor that will replace it hard to say at this time. Intel currently focuses on the new hexa-core processors and the new processor architecture Sandy Bridge that is expected to arrive starting next year.

Intel has also put the death clock on Pentium E5300 2.6 GHz and Celeron E3200 2.4 GHz and they will not be available after that.
