Rumors of Radeon HD 2900 Pro have been going around for over a month now. Beta drivers revealed the existence of the card and other rumors claimed that the card would be crippled in various way. Well now we know for sure what makes the HD 2900 Pro slower than the HD 2900 XT, lower clock frequencies. HIS has namely published the specifications of its Radeon HD 2900 Pro and the only thing we can see separates the Pro version from the XT is the lower frequencies, 600 MHz core and 1600 MHz memory. The core is the exact same otherwise. Apparently the card will be a lot cheaper too, it has a recommended retail price of $249.
